For the second straight year, Keyframe will help with the production of the College World Series which will be held at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb. Events kick off on June 14th with the opening ceremony in the evening, including an autograph session and free concert. Games start Friday, June 15th and the winner will be proclaimed on Sunday, June 24th or on Monday, June 25th if necessary.
This year, Keyframe will have four production specialists on-site running the necessary equipment for the recently purchased a Prostar® display system from Daktronics. Keyframe’s specialists will control the scoreboard’s content to form a variety of different combinations using a picture window, player stats, line score, full screen video, crowd prompts, replays and team intros. (see image below) A wireless camera will capture crowd shots and different field views to be converted into prompts for later use during the games.
With the purchase of the Daktronics scoreboard, Rosenblatt Stadium received basic control room equipment. For this event, the extra equipment necessary for the complete production will be brought up from the University of Georgia.
“Being a producer at the College World Series last year was great,” said Mike Dewsnap, Game-Day Producer for the University of Georgia. “We were given some freedom from the NCAA and now that they’ve seen what we can do, they are looking forward to us coming back and pushing it to the next level. I’m definitely looking forward to being on hand again this year.”
Keyframe has been working closely with the NCAA and the City of Omaha to organize display layouts for the best possible showing.
Keyframe will also have tech support on hand for the first day’s games with a three-hour response time after that.
