Keyframe was recently awarded a contract with Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, to provide an on-site production coordinator, full game-day production as well as a content package that spans all sports. The content package included creating video highlight opens for the following sports: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics and Wrestling. In addition, the University also receives crowd prompts, headshots and sponsor animations that follow a uniform style, look and feel from sport to sport.

Bryan Perry, formerly a member of Daktronics’ event production crew at the University of Georgia, has been named the on-site production coordinator at Iowa State. He takes on the role of working with Iowa State’s marketing department to organize and create game production scripts as well as hiring and overseeing a production crew for each event that takes place at Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum. He is the person behind the scenes making sure that Iowa State fans are receiving an exciting and seamless game-day production.

“Iowa State was shown content treatments for every element they requested to ensure their approval in the final stages of creation,” said Perry. “They’ve been happy after working with us to grind out the details to make sure everything looks right. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the content from students and fans. Even the crew has commented that the production content is better by leaps and bounds.”

One of the two video highlight opens for football was edited to the ever-popular “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva. It featured Iowa State’s new logo along with new and historic game footage showcasing the team making tremendous plays sure to pump up the crowd. The footage contains the teams colors – red and yellow – shown in bright, energetic bursts to help the video images ‘pop’ off the screen.

“Keyframe did a fantastic job on the open,” said Mary Pink, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing at Iowa State University. “It has been well received by the crowd and I’ve heard nothing but positive responses. The process of creation went well from taking the product from start to finish. Keyframe did a great job of timing the music to the hits in the highlighted plays. The video editing was well executed and the strongest point in the piece.”

This is Keyframe’s first year of a three-year contract with Iowa State. After this year, Keyframe will have access to an increased amount of timely footage, opening the door for more possibilities in creating next year’s game openers.
