As fans flocked to the New York Mets new stadium, Citi Field, for the 2009 baseball season, they were not only treated to a shiny new facility with comfortable seats, gourmet concessions and a team with a legit shot of making the playoffs, they were greeted with massive LED video displays and an entirely new game-day video show. Keyframe worked with the Mets to produce all-new, custom video and ribbon board content, including crowd prompts, logo treatments, player elements, features, and four different styles of headshots for “The Amazins”.
“The Mets wanted game day show and content to be completely different from the old Shea Stadium production, which provided a welcome opportunity to start with a clean slate.” said Mike Zugschwert, Keyframe’s Art Director on the project. “The headshots turned out especially great, and the team’s request for four different versions allowed for us to play around with varying styles.”
For the headshots, the Mets in-house production team captured green screen, HD footage of the players during spring training, which Keyframe then utilized in its designs. The remainder of the package was designed by Keyframe in collaboration with the Mets’ Vito Vitiello, Producer, Video & Entertainment Services, and produced in various Keyframe studios, under Zugschwert’s art direction.
